I'm grateful that Kim English, Regional Development Manager, Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen, invited me to attend the Table Talks information session led by Kelly Terbasket of IndigenEYEZ and kinSHIFT and hosted by Kim. It was a profound way to have meaningful shared experiences with like-minded individuals.

Table Talks is designed for non-Indigenous people who are ready to learn, reflect, and support one another to take action toward reconciliation. It offers a thoughtful, accessible way to step into conversations many of us know are important - but aren’t always sure how to begin. The Info Session is a starting point: an opportunity to experience the program and explore how these conversations can happen around kitchen tables, within workplaces, among neighbours, and in community groups.
Table Talks micro-grants are available to support people interested in continuing conversations and learning within their own circles and communities. Grants can help support gatherings, shared meals, creative materials, accessibility supports, honorariums, and access to the Table Talks Toolkit.
